Dubai set for a night of laughter with Indian comedian Maheep Singh
Tickets available now for the much-awaited comedy event at Emirates Theatre
DUBAI – Indian comedian Maheep Singh is set to perform live in Dubai this November, promising an evening filled with laughter, wit and relatable humour.
The celebrated stand-up artist will bring his hit solo show to the Emirates Theatre on Sunday, 23 November, starting at 7:45 pm, with gates opening from 7:15 pm.
Presented by Sublime Entertainment and Enara Events, the much-awaited event marks Singh’s return to the UAE stage following popular demand from comedy fans across the region. Known for his sharp one-liners and keen observational humour, the 50-year-old comic is expected to deliver a show that blends personal anecdotes, cultural satire, and his trademark storytelling style.
Who is Maheep Singh?
Born in Patiala, Punjab, in 1975, Maheep Singh is a writer, actor, and stand-up comedian who began his professional comedy career at the age of 40. Often described as “The Gujarati Sardar”, he has carved a niche in the Indian comedy circuit with his distinctive mix of intelligence and relatability.
Educated at Delhi University’s Khalsa College and later at Himachal Pradesh University, where he earned a Master’s degree in English Literature, Singh’s academic background influences his thoughtful and insightful brand of humour. His comedy explores everyday life, relationships, and social quirks – often laced with cultural nuance and gentle irony.
In 2015, he gained widespread recognition after co-winning Comedy Central’s Best Stand-up Comedian Award alongside Zakir Khan, one of India’s leading comedians. He later founded the New Delhi Comedy Club in 2013, a platform that has since helped launch the careers of several emerging comics in India’s capital.

Singh’s performances stand out for their maturity and introspection – qualities that reflect both his life experience and literary sensibilities. His specials such as Wo Dekho Chidiya, Gurgaon Ka Gyani, Mummy Kesi Hai, and Iss Age Mein Bhi have earned praise for their blend of humour and depth.

Known for balancing humour with honesty, he offers a refreshing contrast to younger, punchline-driven comedians. Off stage, Singh is a devoted father to his daughter and keeps his personal life private, maintaining a focus on creativity and performance.
When and where to attend
The Dubai show is open to guests aged 14 and above, with the performance primarily in Hindi and segments in English. Tickets start at $33.72, with VIP seating allocated and Gold and Balcony categories available on a first-come-first-served basis. Guests are advised to note that there is no lift access to the balcony area.
Parking is available through RTA’s paid parking, though spaces are limited, so early arrival is encouraged. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, but snacks and beverages can be purchased within the foyer area of the venue.
For those travelling by car, the Emirates Theatre is accessible via Al Thanya Street off Al Safa Street (D71), while taxis across Dubai can also easily locate the destination. The organisers have noted that tickets are non-refundable, except in exceptional cases handled directly by the ticketing platform.
